First Kiss

And this was a candid taken at the back of the church after the ceremony. I promise we will edit this blog and post more pictures when we get a few moments.

Middle of ceremony

This was the middle of the ceremony while a song was being sung. The music was selected and sung by Shelley, the youth pastor's wife, and we honestly could not have selected more appropriate or beautiful music ourselves. At some point we'll upload the video and the audio.

The Rings

This is the exchange of the rings. We were incredibly blessed that we found rings we both loved that were able to be ordered and received in time.

Lighting of the candle

Okay, on to the actual ceremony. This picture is after the lighting of the wedding candle. David's parents did an awesome job of pulling together a beautiful ceremony for us and this is just one of the details that made such a difference.

Wedding

Because we decided pretty much "spur of the moment" to do this, we decided to post this blog to catch you up. This is the rehearsal picture on the left and yes, the rehearsal was literally 15 minutes before the ceremony. The wedding was scheduled for 6 PM and we ended up getting to the church about 5:30. The wedding was held at David's parents' church, Faith Tabernacle in Talmo. This was our first visit to the church so everything was a surprise from church decorations to the music. We thought we were organized, all things considered, but we had a snafu almost immediately. Somehow David forgot to bring his suit pants. So I'm downstairs getting dressed and get the news that it will be at least 45 minutes before the trip to town to get a pair of dress slacks is completed. So the picture on the right is me chatting with the guests while waiting for David to get back from town.

This is just a quick photo essay of the wedding so that those of you who couldn't make it get a quick overview. We'll update the blog later so that the pictures and the story are more complete.
